He is the son of William Alexander Scott, former Premier of Bermuda and his wife Olga May (nee Lawrence). His grandfather Willard Alexander Scott, was a Warwick Parish police Sergeant. His great, great, grandfather John H.T. Jackson, was the second Black member of the House of Assembly. His great Uncle Albert Jackson, was President of the Bermuda Senate.
He is a graduate of the Gilbert Institute and Bermuda Institute and he graduated from the Florida Air Academy High School (FAA) as the Ranking Officer in charge of supplies.
He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Lynn University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSc) in Aviation Management and Flight Training. While attending Lynn, in addition to obtaining his Federal Aviation Administration pilot certification, he was a member of the University Student Government and served one year as President of the University Judicial Board.
Lawrence is currently Supervisor of JetBlue Airways at the L.F. Wade International Airport. His professional experience includes working as Chief Executive Officer at Airborne Management and as Operations Officer at ASB Operations.
His community service includes volunteering with the St. Johns Ambulance as a 'First Responder' and Trainer; Memberof Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc; counselor at the Boys Club and also gives motivational speeches to students on a regular basis. He is the Co-Founder of The Airborne Foundation, a registered charity that seeks to provide educational opportunities for young Bermudians that want to pursue a career in the aviation industry.
