Character Counts
In a recent UBP video, Party Chairman Shawn Crockwell engaged in the worst kind of politics - the politics of personal destruction. Mr. Crockwell had the audacity to claim that we in the PLP are the ones that "set a bad example for our children."
Mr. Crockwell made this spurious claim just hours after we called him out for twice misleading Bermudians. First, he signed a pledge to conduct a clean campaign. He's already violated that pledge multiple times by both authorising negative advertisements and making personal attacks in the aforementioned UBP video. Second, after telling the Royal Gazette that he had polling numbers that disputed ours, MP George Scott challenged him to release those numbers. Mr. Crockwell refused. If he does indeed have numbers that refute ours, why won't he release them? Because, the truth is, he doesn't have those numbers and he was attempting to, once again, mislead the Bermudian people.
Mr. Crockwell, character counts. It's time to stop misleading the Bermudian people with your highly partisan and personally destructive rhetoric. Bermudians deserve better.

Fortunately, Bermudians in Pembroke West have a clear choice. They can elect a misleading partisan firebrand like Mr. Crockwell or they can elect a thoughtful, sensible leader who always tells it like it is and isn't afraid to work with members on both sides of the political divide to do what's best for Bermuda. Walton Brown exemplifies everything that's right with Bermuda. He's a man of integrity, intelligence and he's committed to the people. He is a solutions oriented man of principle who would bring new ideas and a new perspective to government. We know - and Jamahl Simmons knows - that Walton Brown is the right person to represent Pembroke West in the House of Assembly.
