Anthony Richardson, JP, MP
- Public Service: MP for Hamilton South (#7) since 2020, previously served as an Alderman for the Corporation of St. George's.
- Professional Expertise: Managing Director of Cedar Aviation Services Ltd., with a background as a Chartered Accountant and senior roles in finance and healthcare.
- Community Involvement: Actively supports local organizations, including Harrington Workmen’s Club, Summerhaven, and Teen Haven, and promotes financial literacy through his radio program, INSIGHT.
- Education and Training: Educated in Bermuda’s public schools and Bermuda College, earning a BBA from Acadia University and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.

Meet Anthony
Anthony Richardson JP MP was elected as the first Progressive Labour Party representative for Constituency #7, Hamilton South in the October 1, 2020 General Election in Bermuda. The constituency extends as far east as the Blue Hole Hill near the Causeway and as far west as the Harrington Hundreds Road, near the Harrington Sound School. It incorporates all of the area between St. Johns Church, John Smiths Bay and Devils Hole, including Tuckers Town.
Anthony is well known in the Bermuda business community and currently serves as the Managing Director of Cedar Aviation Services Ltd. He is also the host of INSIGHT, the Sunday evening radio program dedicated to financial literacy – ‘going beyond headlines and soundbites’. In his role at Cedar Aviation, he overseas the operations of all Private Jet, Military and Medical Flights into Bermuda. He has been a Professional Registered Accountant since 1990 and has held several senior positions including Accountant General of Bermuda, Chairman of the Bermuda Hospitals Board, CEO of the Bermuda Health Council and CFO of the Bermuda Land Development Company.
Anthony believes that everyone is responsible for service to their community. He personally demonstrates public service at his local church, the Harrington Workmens Club, Summerhaven, Teen Haven and to individuals as the need arises. He previously served as Chair of the Bermuda Hospitals Board and Chair of their Finance Committee.
MP Richardson was educated in Bermuda’s public school system, attending East End Primary, Warwick Academy (when it was public) and the Bermuda College. He then attended Acadia University in Canada, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. His professional training occurred at the former Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC), where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. He also has training in Insurance, Finance, General Management and Aviation Administration and Safety protocols.
MP Richardson’s experience in elected office started as an Alderman for the Corporation of St. Georges. He subsequently ran in a Bye Election and 2 General Elections before succeeding in Constituency #7 Hamilton South in 2020.
Anthony is married to Dr. Holly Richardson and they have two children, Jordyn and Kallan.
Delivering for Hamilton South
- Continuously represent residents in the Devil’s Hole and C7 Hamilton South community as the first PLP MP for the area.
- Consistently speak in the HOA to support the Government’s investment in our people – most significantly to implement or first Minimum Wage of $16.40 and to support the $75m guarantee for Fairmont Southampton community which will reestablish Bermuda as premier convention destination
- Serve C7 Hamilton South and Bermuda generally both financially and with personal effort at least 5 hours per week to promote financial literacy as the host of INSIGHT on Magic 102.7FM on Sunday evenings. Subject and guests are based on voter input and suggestions.
- Assisted in getting money to renovate the Harrington Workmens Club (CCCC) and to now serve as Assistant Treasurer. A strong Club is critical to the Community
- Bi monthly frozen food hampers to families based on a special church based food import model

- Assisted the Marsden team, led by Mario Thompson to restore the graves at the Marsden Cemetery
- Unofficially adopted Summerhaven to provide bulk food items on a regular basis and general administrative support as necessary
- Regularly attend and participate in services and events organized by St. Philips Church under the leadership of Rev. Rev Wendell OE Christopher Sr
- Personally support the annual Barry Gibbons DHF back to school fun day
- Sponsored several young people to the Annual PLP banquet to allow them to be exposed to a celebratory political process
- Direct Senior assistance – notice a senior was not using their drinking water and paid for her roof to be painted
- Make regular contact with 2 of our vulnerable residents to provide food and general assistance as appropriate
- Attended a Seniors event and assisted many attendees to join or renew their memberships to enjoy the many benefits that are tied to Age Concern
- Monthly clinics – Devils Hole, John Smth’s Bay, Harrington Sound
- Assisted many voters in obtaining the book ‘And the drama begins’ by Mr. Perry Trott, which provides specific advice about estate planning
