Camp Connect Season 2: Putting Bermudian Families First

The Progressive Labour Party is proud to highlight the Government of Bermuda’s continued commitment to supporting Bermudian families through initiatives like Camp Connect. This program, now entering its second season, ensures that children across the island have access to safe, enriching, and affordable summer camps.

For over 50 years, the Department of Sport and Recreation has provided Summer Day Camp Programmes for preschool, primary, and middle school-age students. Recognizing the financial challenges faced by many families, the Government introduced Camp Connect to make summer camps more accessible and to alleviate long waitlists. This initiative, in collaboration with private camp operators, has been a game-changer for parents seeking quality summer programs at an affordable rate.

This year, Camp Connect remains true to its mission of affordability, with weekly fees set at just $60 per child. Registration officially opens today, **May 12th, 2025, at 9:30 AM**, through the Camp Connect portal at [www.sportsandrec.bm](http://www.sportsandrec.bm). Parents are encouraged to explore the portal to find the perfect program for their children and secure their spots early.

Camp Connect is more than just a summer program—it’s a reflection of the PLP’s broader vision for Bermuda. By easing the financial burden on families and investing in our youth, we are building a fairer, more inclusive Bermuda. This initiative aligns with our commitment to creating opportunities for all Bermudians, ensuring no child is left behind.

The Progressive Labour Party remains steadfast in its dedication to addressing the challenges facing Bermudians and delivering solutions that enhance the quality of life for everyone. Camp Connect is just one example of how we are putting Bermudians first.
