- Removed compulsory military service or “conscription” from the laws of Bermuda.
- First Government to give public notifications for the release of high-risk sex offenders.
- Granted transferred from the Bermuda Police Service to the Royal Bermuda Regiment responsibility for inshore maritime patrolling.
- Creation of the Bermuda Coast Guard.
- Modernised the Liquor Licensing Act to remove red tape.
- Reformed Legal Aid to increase the availability of legal assistance while minimising costs.
