Meet Lawrence

William Lawrence Alexander. Scott, a distinguished leader in Bermuda’s aviation and hospitality sectors, is the son of former Premier Alex Scott and the late philanthropist and educator Olga Scott. Born into a family committed to public service and community improvement, Lawrence has continued this legacy through his impactful career.

Since February 2023, Lawrence has served as the Assistant Front Office Manager for Rosewood Bermuda, the island's only Forbes-rated property. In this role, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, contributing significantly to the luxury hospitality experience that Rosewood offers its guests.

In addition to his position at Rosewood, Lawrence has revitalized the family business, ScottsCraft, restructuring it from a Public Relations and Marketing company to enter the luxury concierge and aviation industry consulting markets, with a specialization in private jet travel. His entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach have positioned ScottsCraft as a key player in Bermuda's luxury service sector.

Lawrence's extensive experience in government is marked by his tenure as a Cabinet Minister for Transport from October 2020 to October 2022, where he oversaw critical areas such as civil aviation, public transport, and maritime administration. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Bermuda Airport Authority, where he provided strategic oversight and governance.

From piloting his first flight in 1994 he has nearly 3 decades in the aviation industry, where he served as a Supervisor of Airport Operations at JetBlue Airways for a decade, cultivating a deep understanding of airport operations and customer service. Lawrence’s early experiences included roles as a Customs Officer and Aviation Management Trainee with the Bermuda Governments Department of Airport Operations, where he honed his skills in operational management and public service.

A certified pilot by the United States Federal Aviation Administration, Lawrence's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Aeronautical Science and Aviation Management from Lynn University. His commitment to education and community service is further reflected in his volunteer work with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and as a co-founder of The Airborne Foundation, which supports educational opportunities for young Bermudians pursuing careers in aviation.
