Martha Dismont a Champion for the People

The Progressive Labour Party extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Martha Dismont. Mrs. Dismont was dedicated to working with and advocating on behalf of vulnerable Bermudian families.

As the founder of the Family Centre, she worked tirelessly with this organization to provide support and services for our vulnerable population.
The Family Centre also addressed other significant community issues including gang violence.

Ms. Dismont was unrivaled in mobilizing people to become more involved to ensure that there was continuous progress in closing the gaps in our community. She wanted us to care for our children, our families, and address the difficulties and traumas they were experiencing.

A person of great faith, she encouraged our community to be our brothers' keeper and to make a difference in their lives, no matter how great or small.

Martha Dismont was a hero and a champion, touching the lives of thousands because of her passion, her work and her commitment to the people of Bermuda.
