PLP INVITES PUBLIC TO HELP SHAPE PRIORITIES

Sound off at plp.bm/listens

Today, the Progressive Labour Party (PLP) is launching a new initiative entitled PLP Listens. This initiative leverages the internet to empower Bermudians to help shape the government's priorities for the remainder of its 5-year term. We invite the public to tell us what issues most matter to you and share your policy ideas at http://www.plp.bm/listens

"As we execute the people’s mandate, we want to make sure that the people we represent continue to have a vehicle to participate in the agenda between elections. In the bad old days politicians were elected and many thought that they knew it all, had all the answers and didn’t have to consult or listen. Our people have always had the intellect, vision and ability to contribute positively to the direction of our country,” noted Premier David Burt. "This is your opportunity to help shape the party's priorities for the remainder of our term. Our caucus has started a half-term policy review, but I also want to hear from the voters who put us here, where you most want us to focus our energy."

"We will be following up the PLP Listens campaign with 3 town halls to be held in March to allow more Bermudians to have the opportunity to let their voices be heard.. I encourage you to participate at plp.bm/listens," the Premier concluded.

All Bermudians are encouraged to submit their issue priorities and ideas at plp.bm/listens
