Shomari Talbot-Woolridge, at just 27 years old, stands as a passionate advocate for progressive labour values, infusing his political journey with energy and innovation. From his early days at Harrington Sound Primary and Clearwater Middle School to his graduation from The Berkeley Institute in 2015, Shomari's path has been marked by a deep commitment to social justice. His political consciousness was ignited through marches and protests, experiences that solidified his dedication to collective progress.

Shomari’s roots in the progressive labour movement run deep. He champions collectivism over individualism, a belief reflected in his role as a shop steward with the Bermuda Industrial Union. Here, on the front lines of labour advocacy, he has consistently fought for the rights and dignity of working-class Bermudians, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights protected. Recognizing the importance of youthful energy within the PLP, Shomari took bold steps to rejuvenate Progressive Minds, the party's youth wing. As the current Chairman, he is dedicated to amplifying young voices and ensuring they are integral to the party’s future. His leadership has sparked greater engagement among young Bermudians.
