Wayne Furbert
Wayne L. Furbert is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant and has vast experience in the international business sector. Before becoming a full-time Member of Parliament, he worked at one of the big four accounting firms as an auditor, served in an executive position in one of the large insurance companies and later served as General Manager and Financial Controller of a law firm.
A 27-year political veteran, Wayne is a highly experienced Member of Parliament and has held several portfolios during his tenure, including Minister of Culture and Home Affairs, Minister of Housing, Minister of Health, Minister of Social Service, Minister of Transport, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Economic Business Development and Junior Minister of Finance.
Wayne has served as Chairman of the Finance Committee for KEMH and Chairman of the Bermuda Road Safety Council. He has also served as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and Chairman of the Efficiency Committee.
While he holds many roles and titles, none is more important than his role as a family man. Wayne has been married to his high school sweetheart for 38 years and has two children and one granddaughter.
