Meet Zane

Zane Desilva is a prominent local businessman and as President & CEO of Island Construction Services has seen the development of his business into one of the largest and most diverse 'local' companies. A highly motivated and tireless worker with a proven track record in business management he is particularly focused on budgetary procedure and cost control and has been responsible for the successful delivery of numerous large projects. Mr. DeSilva is well known throughout the business and sporting communities and his philanthropic activities have assisted a broad range of local clubs, community organizations, churches and individuals. Mr. DeSilva has represented Bermuda in several sporting activities and was founder of the West End Runners Club and was past President of the Bermuda Snooker Association. Mr. DeSilva is also a prominent member of the Progressive Labour Party which he has represented since 2007 as Member of Parliament for Constituency #30 and Constituency #29. He has held Ministerial portfolios as Minister Without Portfolio, Minister of Health, Minister of Social Development & Sports and Minister of Tourism & Transport.
